The Rose Stone Trio was established in 1991 by
three native Oklahomans performing their favorite Oklahoma music
, from country to jazz, on classical instruments. Lillian McConnell,
harpsichordist, Linda Paul, harpist, and Tammy Kirk, flutist,
have enjoyed professional careers as musicians in solo, symphonic
and concert appearances. Named for the Oklahoma designated state
Rose Rock, they are nationally acclaimed for performances at the
OK Mozart International Festival , the U.S. Open Golf Tournament
events, and a Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C.
An Oklahoma Arts Council Touring Program Ensemble,
the Rose Stone Trio also is listed with the Heartland Arts Fund
and the Chamber Music Association of America. All three arts organizations
provide partial funding for approved Rose Stone Trio concerts.

Linda Barton Paul is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She attended Will Rogers High School and went on to Oklahoma University
in Norman, OK to study the harp. She also studied at the University
of Tulsa, the University of Kansas and Denver University.
Besides teaching harp, Linda has performed both
in concert and as a symphonic harpist. She toured with the New
Christy Minstrels, making two U.S. tours and one Caribbean tour.
She has performed in pit ensembles for opera, ballet and Broadway.
Linda began honing her unique style by adding
jazz and Latin rhythms to her repertoire in 1983. She's performed
with several jazz ensembles over the years, plus she has performed
jazz charts with symphonic orchestra. She began adding South American
harp pieces to her repertoire, even purchasing a Paraguayan harp
so she could perform the intricate fingerings of these Latin styles.
Later she applied much of this new technique to the double pedal
harp to produce a more rhythmic and percussive quality.
Linda will be adding new CD's of her various styles
to this site over the next year: classical, soft jazz, Broadway
and Movie Hits, ballads, gospel and hymn selections. Some of these
CD's will be fund-raisers for various non-profit organizations
and proceeds from the sales will benefit many worthy causes. Check
the "More CD's" page often to catch the newest release!
